The geese again

This morning,I managed to get what I think are
the best shots I have taken so far of the geese on
their way to the marshes. The last one amused me
as this guy was heading back the way they had come!
I imagined him saying either "Mum, where are you?"
or "Come on, you lot,get a move on!"

I came over to your blog from your SWF post and have enjoyed your photos here too plus the commentary about them.

I am smiling. This is a fun, Sky Watching post. Nice geese! And, apparently cheeky too.

Thanks for dropping by. The geese here are grouping here, ready for the flight to warmer climes.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your nice comment.
I remember when I was a child some peasants still held geese and they went home in the evening after spending the day in the meadows. It was not wise for a kid to meet them on the street because they hissed at you and bit you if they got you :)
But thats a long time ago...
Have a nice weekend.

It is so nice to see birds passing by in the beginning fall. My favourite time in the year

Oh by the way, Woodthorpe isn't too far away from me. I actually work with a lady who lives there on Weaverthorpe Road.

I'm always amazed seeing them travel all together :)

We have had them passing us too - well captured. I didn't get any. The sound of them always make me a bit sad.

Honk honk honk! They don't half let the world know about it when they're off on a daytrip somewhere!

I like the geese photos, too, and the sense of humor you bring to them. I have to try very hard not to be sad at all the birds leaving us, so it's good to have a laugh along with the pictures.

I love the sound of geese flying over, although I must admit I prefer hearing them in spring. :-)
